McCain and Graham: Syria reports, if true, mean president's red line has been crossed

Washington (CNN) – Two leading Republican lawmakers said Tuesday that reports of chemical weapons use in Syria, if true, mean the president's threshold for involvement in the country's civil war has been met.

Sens. John McCain and Lindsey Graham, who have led calls in Congress for greater U.S. involvement in Syria, issued a joint statement saying the attacks, if verified, would demand a response from President Barack Obama.

“If today’s reports are substantiated, the President’s red line has been crossed, and we would urge him to take immediate action to impose the consequences he has promised," the senators wrote.

“Then McGraham can prance on over there and fight it on their own.

These are the same scumbags who led the cheerleading squad to get involved in Libya before deciding to be outraged about Benghazi.”

Sometimes our memories are too good, or the Google search reminds us of what really happened.

You have a great thought, however, why not make money while our enemies kill each other. Russia is an expert in this.

““Syria is nothing but Muslims killing Muslims.”

In a sane world we would be selling weapons and ammo to both sides like the Russians, to increase the body count.”

There are no good guys in the Syria confrontation. Arm both sides and let ‘em kill each other off.

Hire returning Military and pay them at the same rate as tenured teachers. Surely school systems can afford 1-2 more teacher types.

And don’t give me any crap saying that such teachers will go ballistic and kill an entire classroom.

If what you are referring to ties into globalism, the new world order, one world government, etc, I totally agree.

It will never happen. Not enough actionable intelligence and even if there were the chances of causing more deaths by bombing a chemical weapons depot are too high.

Israel alleges chemical weapons were used in Syria

The statement by Yuval Steinitz, the newly appointed minister of intelligence and strategic affairs, conflicts with U.S. assessments...

I will not go. I will demand that Congress declare WAR!! That is what the constitution demands. All other interventions are illegal after 60 days for which impeachment MUST FOLLOW if all troops are not withdrawn. Why would we die for al qaeda when Syria has never done anything to the United States??? answer that. Those bastar&s can kill each other until the cows come home. NO MORE IRAQS!! NO MORE LIBYAs!! We’re broke. Our might and manufacturing are in China thanks to both Parties and MFN for China and NAFTA. Our leaders did it to us. The economy and our GDP that were once made up of US corporations employing Americans making real stuff.

Then it all went elsewhere and in its place came money shufflers on Wall St making deals and funny financial products CMOs, CDSs, CDOs etc. They made a personal killing and then they went broke, and then they made another killing thanks to our bailout, and the Fed.. The banksters have the money and we got the debt.

Like Glenn Beck says the banksters continue to perpetrate the biggest heist ever and they aren’t done yet. They want our pensions, but first they want our firearms.

We still have our big stick and our leaders like to show their bluster by using it foolishly. When we had a big economy the world respected us for our technological ability. We did big stuff. For what was done to the USA under the guise of globalism there should be a number of members of Congress and Presidents serving long sentences in Leavenworth

Their job was to defend the real USA economy and its borders and the traitors did neither and now it is coming home to roost.
