My wife works at a supermarket and talks to lots of people. The older folks hate Obama and Obamacare. The young people generally don't know what's going on, or are the usual useful idiots. And sadly, there are many middle-aged people who are oblivious as well.
Yesterday, one asked her, "What's so bad about Obamacare?" She simply had no idea.
Is there any excuse for such ignorance? I can't imagine that these people will ever get it.
Believe me, those who do understand it want single payer.

That’s because we still remember what it used to be like to live in a free country. No more. The USA is now thoroughly a fascist state through and through. I see it in operation every day, and at a personal level, via its impact on me, my friends, and my family.

There is no excuse, I can only call it WILLFUL ignorance, the solid refusal to see reality even when it is in front of your face. Four years ago there were people of all ages carrying on as though their every dream was about to come true. I was feeling sick on my stomach and I still am, just more so.
