The one thing we can console ourselves with is that once amnesty is passed, all the people who went along with the GOP on it will suffer financially and perhaps even personally.

I am to the point where I literally hope to see them get what they asked for. In spades. Whare’s that Cartman pic about delicious tears of sadness when you need it?

It seems like a horrible mistake.

Rand Paul was in full politician mode on Hannity this afternoon.

No idea what kind of pressure border staters are under to adapt to the Mexican culture, allow them to take over parking areas, malls, schools, the language.

It is probably going to be irreversible.

Paul is a Kentucky Senator. He needs to go home and shut up about this, I don’t care if he IS from Texas, he does not know this issue.

There is a severe lack of representation for people who do not wish this invasion to become sanctioned.

It's definitely NOT for the Mexican government that they are "bending over," it's for a hoped-for vote!

None will come, of course, illegals aren't here for the work they're here for the benefits, according to a Hispanic businessman of long-standing.

This second generation Hispanic businessman told me right off that he used to be able to hire his fellow Hispanics from other Latin American countries, who were here on legal status, that wanted to work to have a better life for themselves and their families. He said that a few would get green cards, leaving family back at home, live with others in similar situations and work, save and return home to build businesses.

Not so today. He said that when he can hire someone here legally (and those are the ONLY ones he will hire) they bring families including sometimes parents and aunts and uncles, children and their live-in girlfriends and they are already getting government benefits when they begin working for him.

I told him that that is against the law and he agreed and isn't one bit happy about it either as his taxes are paying for this abomination. He said he asked many of them how on earth do they get benefits and was told all they had to do was to show up at a government welfare office and sign up. They even apply for driver's licenses and sign up at the DMV!

I said that also is against the law in KS and MO, so far as I know, but he said that some way it is happening.

So much for Rand Paul, man of the people and TEA Party candidate!!!

Should we hold our breath for the Mexican Government's reciprocation?

Of course they are bending over and they want us to bend over with them. They are bending over for the super elite and Wall St and cheap labor, and those who are never affected by illegals taking over America.

Corporatists are not now and never have been conservatives. The GOP elite are politicians looking for voters first, while many are corporatists looking for ways to profit while screwing the country. They did it by giving away our jobs to China and bailing out Wall St with our tax money as a reward for their blatant incompetence and campaign donations. Their ilk are now looking for ways to declare our country broke by giving it to illegals.

We have all been for LEGAL immigration ..... No news here IMO.

We are a nation of immigrants, not criminals as the socialist liberal democrats would have us become. Any path has definition , established boundaries and a clear destination . That path must be followed as set forth by our laws with regards to becoming a citizen.

Follow said LAW aka path or we as a nation are lost in the wilderness per se....

My opinion only.... Stay Safe !

Legal status is different than citizenship. At a minimum, I suppose it would involve some kind of visa, and at a maximum it would involve a work permit.

We cannot let the status quo on immigration continue. Under the status quo, California has been transformed into a socialist state, and they have announced Texas as their next target of opportunity.

The status quo of arguing over the perfect plan while hordes of illegals pour across the border to satisfy unscrupulous businessmen and politicians must end.

The first step MUST BE access control of the border and of airports, ports, and all visas. Once that is accomplished, the discussion can go to step two — what to do about the illegals who are here.

I have no problem with worker status so long as there is no violent or theft-like crimes.

The alternative is the status quo on immigration, and the status quo will lose us Texas. I believe many seemingly concerned plants are actually attempting to blow up any progress on anything that includes border and access control because they secretly wish the status quo to continue. They pose as those who will argue over anything that isn’t their own plan which they consider to be the perfect plan.

No, they are bending over for large companies that depend on illegal labor to keep cost and taxes down.

For example, the majority of the food processors depend on illegal immigrant labor.
