Where is the other hand? What is it doing?
Wow that’s too bad.
I was hoping to get EVERY senator on record with a vote on this.
Harry: do it for “the children”
They’re not serious. This is all grandstanding for the base. Oddly, I don’t think the base wants gun control either as I know two Democrats who have recently run out and bought their first guns.
I do not trust Tom Coburn to not give them cover to get at least something they want.
Never TRUST them...they are up to something
Registered Democrat scumbags/gutterwhores are deeply saddened.
Looks like all those years of experience in the Senate didn’t do her much good, I wonder if Sen. Cruz is chuckling. LOL!
The last time DiFi passed a gun control bill, it led to a Republican takeover of the House and Senate.
No he’s not but there’s others.
Exactly - with this piece of theatre out of the way they can concentrate on “common sense” legislation like universal background checks, aka registration and, hence, confiscation.
First they propose the huge bill, then decline it in favor of the smaller bill to show they are reasonable.
Thus everyone feels like they have had a small victory.
And the Marxist slowly take away your rights.
And Harry remembers that. Right now Harry has his eye on taking the House and keeping the Senate in the mid-terms. He knows a gun bill now is political poison. When/if the Dems control both houses, THEN Harry and DiFi will quickly ban guns. Count on it.
Not now, DiFi, wait until 2015...
It has served its purpose as cover for the bill they’re actually going to pass.
Here is hoping the House can stop it, because the ‘Pubbie pukes in the Senate won’t.
The one hand got its base all riled up and loving them because they were finally so tough on guns.
The other hand wants to preserve their majority in the senate.
They'll move the goal posts until enough people are fooled by their rhetoric, and then they'll become actual gun grabbers rather than gun grabber wannabes.
If a bill is pushed Boehner and the House had darn well better stop it.
Strategy II is now in play.
Tax the living bejeezus out of everything gun related to the point the tax becomes so punitive and the consequences of failing to pay the taxes so high, people will turn in guns.
This of course will not end well. Either way they will get what they want.
Gabby’s hubby for one. said he’d turn it in to cops, though. ask the dems you know if they’re going to follow his example.
Incrementalism via the dialectic. That’s all this is.
‘Her bill instead will have to go forth separately or as an amendment and that means its probably not going anywhere.’
The answer is...it will go in as an amendment to a completely unrelated bill in the middle of the night in a committee session.
Let’s hope this ban stop takes some pressure off of the ammo hoarding, so I can go get some more bricks of .22LR.
“Not now, DiFi, wait until 2015...”
The old hag is 80! I am just hoping she get’s to meet her maker before “her bill” gets a second chance.
“If a bill is pushed Boehner and the House had darn well better stop it.”
Therein lies the problem!
“Lets hope this ban stop takes some pressure off of the ammo hoarding, so I can go get some more bricks of .22LR”
No kidding! I jut bought a Sig .22 for plinking and can’t find a single round for it!
And my spouse bought a sub-compact 9mm, same story.
She’s a real testimony to what California has become
Ran +3 points ahead of Caliph Baraq in 2012 election.
Problem is, Harry can’t stop their defeat next year. Gun owners have long memories, and they no the gun grab started in DC by the Dems, and has cost many their rights on the state level.
They will be held to account as though Feinstein’s bill had passed in its entirety.
Nice try Harry!
Harry told her that first we have to register them. Then when we ban them we know where to go. When you get Universal Background Checks you have paperwork on where all guns are.
Political posturing best described by two hyenas fighting over a piece of animal carcass.
Say what you want about Reid. But, he has an A+ rating from the NRA, and that is one of the main reasons he is still in the Senate.
I hope you’re right but I tend to be very cynical when it comes to predicting what voters will do.
Watch and learn grasshopper. The bill will be to for all firearm sales requiring background checks. Swine’s amendment will fail and the Senate will pass a bill that supposedly closes the “gun show loophole”.
Then it will be illegal to sell a firearm without a background check anywhere, any time, and now the local FFL dealer will have a record of the sale.
Then in 5 years when her stupid bill comes up again and it passes they already have the paperwork to know who and where the firearms are, so they can make a midnight visit to confiscate them.
See Current California actions for example of National Confiscation plan.
You are correct maybe Schumers bill about safe gun storage that criminalizes teaching someone to shoot at a informal shooting range ,or loan a buddy a rifle during deer season as unlawful transfer of firearms.
if it’s not her, it’ll be some other democrat rat traitor.
Don’t fret. She and her anti AW bill will still be buzzing around like flies on s****!
Nah, they know folks do not want this, what Dems want is total control in 2014, then they will ban your guns.
Never ever trust them. With dems, you are only safe until the next election, or until the next Sandy Hook.
It’s limiting your ammunition...
I’m hearing that the bill won’t get passed in the House. Maybe that will change now that the gun ban isn’t included? I sure hope not.
Tom Coburn for President. Woo! Woo!
One of these seems to turn a Conservative into a moonbat liberal.
Tom has recently disappointed me severely.
Sounds like a problem at the big house, and certainly won't change truth on the ground.
Sad to see the rule of law go by the wayside, but there it is.
I know at least one Dem who hasn’t purchase one yet, but admitted to researching the best guns for defense. When pressed, many they liked had a capacity greater than 10 rounds.
No seriously. They’re still going after magazine capacity. Read the rest of the article. They figure they can get enough democrats to vote for that.
Suppose I ignore it.
They most certainly will, if everyone on our side adopts that attitude.
