A much-anticipated Republican National Committee Chairman report due out Monday on how to reverse the GOP’s fortunes is expected to call for fewer Republican debates, a condensed primary calendar and an earlier party convention.

In an interview on CBS’s “Face the Nation” Sunday, RNC Chairman Reince Priebus outlined those three main recommendations for the 2016 presidential election. The RNC’s so-called “autopsy” — a detailed review of the GOP’s 2012 failures and roadmap going forward — will also include suggestions to improve the party’s digital capabilities and bolster its voter database, among other proposals.

Priebus is set to unveil the plan — titled the “Growth and Opportunity Project” — Monday morning at the National Press Club.

Walker hasn’t actually been sounding especially conservative to me.

Dude I have been only responding to our pings, and not following the thread.

I had no idea you were scuttling around talking about theocracy and that horsesh!+.

That garbage is right off MSNBC and the DNC fund-raising list.

Have you even BEEN inside a church in the last ten years? It ain’t theocracy we have to worry about these days, it’s multicultural nonjudgementalism that has invaded the sanctum sanctorum.

Go clean yourself up and straighten yourself out for a year or two...maybe then somebody will want to talk politics with you. Maybe.

Aw, Whitey, you're being a little harsh...

He'd fit right in at DU or KOS today!

“What I meant is that the Dems are better at selling idiots on the idea that their garbage actually will work.”

That’s the excruciating truth! Liberalism/Marxism has always been an easier sell to the bottom rung human beings, but at the same time the GOPe couldn’t sell manure to a farmer!

“That we continue to have open primaries that allow RATs to crossover and vote for the RINOs MUST be changed.”

Yea, no kidding! Here in CA they changed the rules so the top two vote getters in the primary run against each other, and the RINOs went along with it!

I agree with you. Whitey is probably one of those Daily Kos trolls I mentioned. They post here as fake conservatives espousing strawman positions in an effort to make us look dumb.

Now that we have so many states where Republicans control the state capitol, maybe we can get the primary situation changed. I don’t know how long that would take, but it is ruining us as it is. Especially when all the excitement is on the Republican side and suddenly everybody wants to be where the action is.

Every time we have a Republican primary, the dumb Democrats come to the polling place wanting to vote in it. Because the whole notion of parties and primaries is incomprehensible to them, basically, and the media are so busy making a carnival out of the GOP races.

Having read the RNC report, I must say it is interesting for one important omission. On many pages of the report, recommendations are put forth that simply describe actions already taken by the GOP/RNC. Those actions have led to lost elections. The report uses focus group data and interviews with voters to advance those recommendations. The voters say the GOP is “scary” and “narrow minded”, for example. As a researcher and report writer, I would take that data one step beyond simply accepting it to determine the source of those inaccurate opinions. Once you realize that the voters were being propagandized, you realize that the recommendations of the report writers will not lead to GOP wins, as they haven’t for many presidential elections. The solution lies at least partly in communication—if you are fighting your campaigns against a massive propaganda engine, you will never win on the content of your message. You must improve your communication system.
