Here is an article by Barry Rubin, who knows more about the Middle East than anyone else I am aware of. Titled "Why President Obama's Concept of the Middle East will Fail: Just Listen to it," it examines President Obama's lack of realistic awareness of the Middle East and of what has happened there for many years. It is well worth reading.
