Years ago had a bone scan
Was injected early morning with radiochemical (Techniciun 99)
Told drink crap load of water and come back in afternoon
Had to lie motionless under a scanner for hour while took readings to see if had cancer.....
My uncle had the same procedure, the scans do save lives. It just creeps me out to be injected with radioactive material.
That would be Tc-99m (6 hr half life) vice Tc-99 (211,00 years half life) My son received some to determine the extent of a knee injury. Hope your outcome was as favorable as his.
