Their usual response to this is that the line has ‘flattened’ because ‘the economy stinks’. And they may even see what they can do to fudge the official data to ‘prove’ they have been correct all along.
None of what they say would have any meaningful hearing among the useful idiots in the masses (low information voters, as you call them) without the willing accomplices in the left-wing media.
They will be desperate to do all they can, and skim as much money as they can, over the next two years. Just in case the temperature trend starts declining beyond their ability to ignore.
