Palin delights CPAC crowd with string of Obama one-liners (Calls out Tokyo Rove, too...)
Washington Post ^ | 3/16/13 | Aaron Blake

Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin (R) delivered a blistering attack on President Obama on Saturday, using a string of one-liners to rile up a raucous crowd at the Conservative Political Action Conference in suburban Washington.

Palin hit Obama on everything from gun control to transparency and likened his administration to a TV reality show. At one point, she even alluded to a years-old controversy over a House member shouting, “You lie” at Obama during a major address before Congress.

“Barack Obama promised the most transparent administration ever. Barack Obama: You lie!” she said.

Palin’s jabs were met with a series of standing ovations reminiscent of the period when Palin was perhaps the preeminent figure of the tea party. The response made clear that she maintains huge political capital with the conservative base.

Haven’t seen much of Rove lately. Don’t warch Fox much anymore though.
He’s probably putting Jeb’s program together for 2016. GOPe, you know.

Problem is we cannot just elect a conservative president, we need some congress critters and senators to help out.

May the Lord provide the leadership we need to be the nation He wants us to be, Amen.

I agree. She’s really been the only leader/speaker since Reagan who really reignited any genuine optimism in me about the country and its future. The rest of the GOP and its sundry directions over the past two decades sure as hell haven’t.

I loved how Phyllis said it's up to the *grassroots* to turn things around for this party. I also love how many speakers are calling out the GOPe/Consultant class as the has beens of the party.

Sarah is smart, has more spunk in her little finger than all the other candidates put together... Sarah is exceptional.

Let us pray protection and safety for her. Thank thee LORD for thy mercy, goodness, loving kindness, compassion. We bow before thee in worship in Jesus name, amen.

I did - write ins ARE permitted. And even if my vote didn’t count (I’m in the Soviet Republic of Delaware), I voted MY choice.

BTW, the comments on the Compost are typical for LIBs.

I am so in awe of her...she fires me up, gives me hope.

Between Sarah and what Pat Caddell said I’m going to give the RNC an earful next time they call to ask me for money....not that I gave them any money before but somehow I’m on their list.

Sarah should be POTUS.

"Phyllis Schlafly also called out Tokyo Rove in her address."

We are all aware of today's and yesterday's problems. What would be welcome is tomorrow's solutions. Did you hear them now?

“That wonderful lady is so.... friggin’.... beautiful....”

Yes she is! And she has an inner beauty that shines thru and just lights her up. It’s why so many women hate her—she has everything they want and will never have—she’s real.
