VATICAN CITY — For the first time since the election of Pope Francis two days ago, the Vatican on Friday formally defended him from accusations that, decades ago, in the so-called Dirty War in his home country of Argentina, he knew about serious human rights abuses but failed to do enough to halt them.

...

“The accusations belong to the use of a historical-social analysis of facts for many years by the anticlerical left to attack the church and must be rejected decisively.”

You can apply that last quote about the left to so many other different situations. Their only recourse to attacking the truth is lies.

Once it became know that Pope Francis said that SSM was the work of the devil, you knew the radical left was going to come after him with all they have.

It seems that Obama is still pouting over not being selected as Pope.

I love the way the wording of the headline makes it looks like it was a “Vatican crackdown” (first and last words of headline).

The MSM is shameless, absolutely shameless.

Lest anyone think that “the mud is not going to stick,” I’ve got news for you: from now on, when the UN appoints a mass murderer to head up some human rights commission or refugee council, the MSM will instantaneously remind us of how the Vatican selected a pope with “connections” to the Argentine Dirty War.

but failed to do enough to halt them.

Once again, the communist totalitarian antichrists trot out their "didn't do enough" libel.

ANYONE can be accused of "not doing enough", because "enough" is never defined.

Always find it interesting that the left is always screaming for the church to stay out of state business. And then they use it against the church when they think it suits them...
