DETROIT – A judge on Thursday blocked the federal government from requiring the founder of Domino's Pizza to provide mandatory contraception coverage to his employees under the health care law.

U.S. District Judge Lawrence Zatkoff granted a preliminary injunction against enforcement of the contraception provision of the law against Tom Monaghan and Domino's Farms Corp., a management company located near Ann Arbor, Mich.

The company, which is not connected to Domino's Pizza, has 45 full-time and 44 part-time employees, according to its court filing. Monaghan sold his controlling stake in Domino's Pizza in 1998 to private equity company Bain Capital and sold his remaining Domino's stock in 2004, according to Domino's Pizza spokesman Chris Brandon.

Then Hobby Lobby shouldn’t be forced to either.

There is now a legal precedence for Hobby Lobby (as well as other organizations) to strike down this provision of Obamacare.

However, the article points out that there were only 44 employees in this organization.

In all seriousness, no, ‘tis but a scratch. It’s hard to keep track of all the Administration’s attacks on the American people and the Constitution — this does nothing to weaken Obamacare itself.

Technically not Domino’s Pizza. Domino’s Farms owned by the Pizza founder who sold off his shares.

Remember Mika blowing a gasket over the judge’s injunction against the soda ban?

It wasn’t about the soda, but about the thwarting of arbitrary power, that she was so angry about.

Now, if 0bamacare cannot force a company to fund contraceptives, can it force a company to fund anything at all?

Not sure where you see that --- I read 45 FULL time and 44 PART time employees. Definitely falls under the heavy hand of zerocare.

You're right. The fact the 45 was on one line and the 44 part time was on another line made me miss that.

Just getting old -- I skim read quit a bit now -- not for detail but for meaning. And even that I do wrong at times...

So that means the Obamacare rule (contraception) may not be enforced until it is ruled upon -- one way or another.

Is that correct?
