College guys rarely feign being gay. That’s more common among college girls: LUGs (lesbian until graduation). In part it seems they do it so as to be able to play the field (with guys) without being called sluts. Also, a lot of guys find lesbian shenanigans alluring, and LUGs (and “lipstick lesbians,” too) are often angling for male attention. Women, by contrast, rarely find it titillating to watch male homosexuals make out. It’s an odd difference between the sexes and one I can’t explain.
LUGs may be more common than male GUGs (although I've never kept track), and may have different reasons for their actions, but I've seen more than my fair share of GUGs, as well, although often, they don't resolved until some time after college graduation.
