I wouldn’t mind just staying on St. Maarten for a few days.. great snorkeling and diving and all. (or has global varming hit there too? )

bummer, on the run of bad luck for Carnival.. we’ll sail for
Alaska soon .. on Princess.

I've been on the largest Carnival ships, and believe it or not, even with 4,000 passengers, and as many staff, there are still decks where you can be totally alone. For instance, I recall one afternoon sitting in a deck chair toward the front of the ship reading a book and looking out at the ocean while on a public deck several decks below the pool and all the excitement, and there was not another soul in sight. There was even a very nice small library with very comfortable furniture on board that no one ever went near.

I’ve sailed on the Dream to the Caribbean and had a great time.
That thing is HUGE, it’s no sardine can.
