Public hearings in Hartford, mostly on unconstitutional gun control, brought the entire 1st shift of COLT workers holding "Save Our Jobs" signs into the legislative building. They were bussed in by the company, met with applause by pro-2A residents signing up to testify, and occupied three floors.

I find it amazing and very ironic that the very states that were the original 13 colonies that began the quest for freedom and liberty are now the very states that are its biggest threat.....................

I’m in Connecticut, and my realistic assessment of the gun-control issue (and proposed legislation) is this:
It’s all going to pass.
Connecticut is the “deepest blue” of states, and the ‘rat legislature reflects this.
They may pretend to “listen to” the pleadings of the Second Amendment people, but when all is said and done, and when it’s time to vote — they’re going to vote for the most restrictive gun control that’s available to vote for.
I hope I’m proven wrong. But it looks like gun control here is going to resemble New York state’s scenario — essentially pushed through as quickly as possible, perhaps in the dark of night, and opponents’ opinions be damned.
New England has become the new England. Sad.
And why wouldn't they? The die has been cast by New York state! Cuomo has single-handedly set the precedent by which other states will claim what they are doing is legal.
The true consequences will play out in the coming years as violent crime spirals out of control and full registration, confiscation, and all out bans are enacted as a "panacea to the gun violence."
In reality, the gun violence is rising BECAUSE of the gun bans, not in spite of them. Politicians, esp. liberals, are mentally deranged megalomaniacs who will not be content until every one of us are imprisoned drones working to keep their party going.

Bingo. New England has more in common with Europe than the USA. If you have ever lived in the north and south; the cultural differences and patriotism are night and day.
Yet have Coloradans initiated any recall petitions?
The key is to threaten them before they vote, with perhaps one of their leaders in a strong district, but a bunch of rank and file in weak and contested districts.
State legislators often just narrowly get elected and reelected, so they are very sensitive about things that could change the balance in their district.
This was recently proven in the reddest of districts in Arizona. The head of the Arizona senate was thrown out of office by a concerted effort by out of state forces. And there is no reason in the world in blue Colorado or deeply blue Connecticut, that it could not happen there.
Then when he does Colorado citizens should band together to file suit. 2nd amendment applies to state governments too. Your rights are being violated.

Andrew Cuomo and Elizabeth Warren will be running on the 2016 Democrat Presidential ticket. With record sales in other markets, there will be zero impact if all NY sales terminated tomorrow. If the NY State Government along with the SAFE act are not reigned in, this cancer will only spread. Time to fight the bully and make the bully understand in no uncertain terms, the 2nd Amendment is very important, has nothing to do with hunting and everything to do with citizens/sovereigns reigning in and eliminating out of control Government, foreign or Domestic.

Call every manufacturer of ammunition and firearms and tell them to stand up to Andrew Cuomo and the NY State Government by completely boycotting all sales to NY State till the SAFE Act, Assault weapons ban and any other restrictions to firearms ownership are removed. (just a small observation: As read, the citizens of NY State should be fully armed “the duty of every man” , not the NY State Government or any Employee that takes a pay check from TAX REVENUE. Right now, it is completely backwards! NY State should be more like Switzerland of 2012 and less like Nazi Germany of 1938.)

If a citizen and Militia member in NY cannot own it, can neither a NY State Government Agency nor Employee. That is common sense and that is the current Constitution!

Yeah, I think there are two recall petitions that are just getting started.
Trouble is, the districts the Rats come from are really liberal so a recall is likely to fail.
My hope is that these bills will be challenged in the Fed court and overturned via Heller et al.

Strange. Tonight, I held the door open for a cute nurse (just coming off duty). She smiled and said thank you. Maybe you were in one of the serious yuppie places, they tend to be a bit more uptight.
I am in Connecticut and grew up here. A rural part of the state, small town Americana stuff every Memorial Day, 4th and Veterans Day. The South is great and if my state passes really stringent gun control laws, I will seriously consider moving out of here. I really enjoyed a recent visit to the piedmont area of North Carolina. Great people, easy to talk to despite my goofy accent.
Betis, it was early morning and I was at a McDonalds on the Interstate. She gave me my breakfast I ordered and I said "Thank you ma'am".
That was it.

Yeah, there are definitely some cranky people here, doesn’t surprise me that it happened, but in my experience it isn’t the norm. But I avoid interstates, so maybe I am self-selecting friendly places.
If this continues, I hope that Colt moves to Alabama or whatever.

Rode with a friend today up to Springfield (Mass) to pick up his son at school. We had originally planned to visit the Smith & Wesson museum (only a couple of miles away), but the museum is closed for renovations. Not sure if they’re doing plant tours any more, either.
Having said that, my friend commented that the governor of Connecticut has already said something (regarding the gun manufacturers in Conn) to the effect of “let them all leave, we don’t need them here”.
That’s not only his opinion. If they were to speak candidly, the majority of the Connecticut legislature would likely say the same thing.
Indeed, I wouldn’t be surprised if a majority of the entire state’s population said as much — and believed in what they said....
