A 6-month-old girl died this morning, a day after she and her father were shot several times outside a home in the South Side's Woodlawn neighborhood, officials said.
Jonylah Watkins had undergone hours of surgery at Comer Children's Hospital after she was shot early Monday afternoon. "This morning, the baby passed away," said the Rev. Corey Brooks, a spokesman for the family, "We have another tragedy in the city of Chicago."

This is a horrific pain. The city of Chicago has a death plague. Praying for this family, and this innocent little child, how sad and tragic for us. God’s will be done to teach us the value of mercy and grace from His hand. When he is absent, evil unfolds. Praying the Holy Spirit will infiltrate Chicago and bring His people out of there.
And Obama, et al, want to disarm law abiding citizens. They cannot control the city of Chicago and they want to turn the whole country into a battleground. I am sad for Chicago. But they did vote to keep the status quo with Rahm-bo as Mayor. Illinois used to be a more Conservative state. What a MESS the whole state is now.
The tragedy is that a once-great city (albeit many, many years ago) is suffering under the incompetent -- though iron-fisted -- little capo and his henchmen with no relief in sight.
I was watching the news this morning and they reported that the mother had been shot in the leg while pregnant with this child. What was this family into and why didn’t they move to the north side?

Cities run by democrats all end up like this. Some like Detroit are a little more advanced in their decay than others but all are on the same track.
The problem is, as always, the democrat party. The democrat party created the KKK and used it to terrorize and kill blacks for many years. Now that the KKK is no longer a credible threat the democrats have the gangs to continue the job of killing black adults and kids. Years ago the white KKK used bombs in churches, now the democrat party’s terror arm are the black gangs openly shooting anyone in their way. Considering the voting tendencies in those cities it seems they are getting exactly what they voted for.

Curbing Chicago violence was Obama’s big success prior to becoming Senator and then President.
That was his task as a “Community Organizer”.
67% of firearm murders took place in the country’s 50 largest metro areas.
The 62 cities in those metro areas have a firearm murder rate of 9.7, more than twice the national average. Among teenagers the firearm murder rate is 14.6 or almost three times the national average. Those numbers are from six years ago. They have grown worse since.
Those are the crowded cities of Obamerica. The places with the most restrictive gun control laws and the highest crime rates. These are the places where the family is broken, money comes from the government and immigrants crowd in from some of the most violent parts of the world bringing with them their own organized crime. These are also the places that have run by Democrats and their political machines for almost as long as they have been broken.
Obama won every major city in the election, except for Jacksonville and Salt Lake City.
And the higher the death rate, the bigger his victory. He won New Orleans by 80 to 17 where the murder rate is ten times higher than the national average. He won Detroit, where the murder rate of 53 per 100,000 people is the second highest in the country and twice as high as any country in the world, including the Congo and South Africa. He won it 73 to 26. And then he celebrated his victory in Chicago where the murder rate is three times the statewide average.
