To be fair, I’ve been sworn in multiple times in New York State in connection with my employment and never even been offered a bible.

Will he be exempted from lying to Congress because they are infidels?

Serious question.

It's the little things that trip them up and give them away.

They're not even trying these days.

It's his military now. With a push of a button, they can make their enemies disappear. No one to answer questions that will never be asked. That's their definition of "no fear".

From the article/photo caption...

UPDATE: Empywheel.net notices that this Constitution lacks a Bill of Rights: "That means, when Brennan vowed to protect and defend the Constitution, he was swearing on one that did not include the First, Fourth, Fifth, or Sixth Amendments — or any of the other Amendments now included in our Constitution. The Bill of Rights did not become part of our Constitution until 1791, 4 years after the Constitution that Brennan took his oath on."

Swearing on a bible is a tradition, a custom. It has no meaning whatsoever. Your oath is what binds you, not the book (or lack of book) your left hand rests on.

“Woe to you, blind guides! You say, ‘If anyone swears by the temple, it means nothing; but if anyone swears by the gold of the temple, he is bound by his oath.’ You blind fools! Which is greater: the gold, or the temple that makes the gold sacred? You also say, ‘If anyone swears by the altar, it means nothing; but if anyone swears by the gift on it, he is bound by his oath.’ You blind men! Which is greater: the gift, or the altar that makes the gift sacred? Therefore, he who swears by the altar swears by it and by everything on it. And he who swears by the temple swears by it and by the one who dwells in it. And he who swears by heaven swears by God’s throne and by the one who sits on it. (Mat 23:16-22)

Figures. An atheistic humanist “promise” (which is no promise at all) from an atheistic humanist administration.

Bork said we were slouching toward Gomorrah. I say we effectively ARE now IN Gomorrah....morally, spiritually and economically.

Pray for God to save His remnant. Or, he may choose to take us along as witnesses to the exiles.

See thread on hippies.

John Brennan is a self-identified hippie. I’ve read the threads stating he is a Muslim convert. But back in the 70s, he called himself a wandering hippie. He wandered around Indonesia of all places. Which reminds me of my father wandering around Indonesia in the 1970s as well. My daddy went on Christian mission trips there, and we had dear friends who were missionaries there.

When the democrats decided to remove God or any reference to Our Creator at their 2012 convention. They also demonstrated they are no longer the democratic party of your father’s father. They have become a hyphenated radical unit and should be known as Demo-Coms dedicated to the establishment of a collective idealism using the device of PCP to modify behavior and shed beliefs that they believe would impede remaking their concept of the perfect utopian state. That is hardly democratic because the word democrat idealizes the individual voice.

No bible used because he’s a Demo-Com

How about swearing on the U.S. Constitution? Some of us consider it a sacred document.
