Worst. Jobs. President. Ever… Unemployment Rate Drops After 130,000 Americans Leave Jobs Market

Worst. Jobs. President since the Great Depression. Unemployment dropped down to 7.7% in January. After 130,000 Americans dropped out of the jobs market. (FOX News)

Via Drudge: WHITES: 6.8%… BLACKS: 13.8%… HISPANICS: 9.6%… TEENAGERS: 25.1%…

If you factor the underemployed with unemployed the unemployment rate is around 14%. Yahoo reported:

U.S. employers ramped up hiring in February, adding 236,000 jobs and pushing the unemployment rate down to 7.7 percent from 7.9 percent in January. Stronger hiring shows businesses are confident about the economy, despite higher taxes and government spending cuts.

The government’s February employment report released Friday was filled with mostly encouraging details. The unemployment rate is now at its lowest level in four years. Hiring has averaged more than 200,000 per month since November. Wages increased. And the job gains were broad-based, led by the best construction hiring in six years.

One negative detail: Employers added fewer jobs in January than first estimated. Job gains were lowered to 119,000 from an initially reported 157,000. Still, December hiring was a little better than first thought, with 219,000 jobs added instead of 196,000.

And if you included the people who have supposedly "left the job market" its probably more like 20%.

Another statistic that should be included are the nearly NINE MILLION former workers (under 65) on SS disability income.

The increases shown on this chart are astounding.

IMHO this is why SS is going broke. People on SS disability who should not be there

The worst offender at promulgating these lies is ABC Radio news. Yesterday they prefaced this story about fewer jobless claims with the phrase “in another sign of an improving economy...”. Personally I think Burger King should file a lawsuit against them for cranking out so many whoppers.

Great News..another 130,000 LEAVE the job market to go live with mom and dad and become free sh*ters. At this rate we should soon have nobody working and the unemployment rate at ZERO.

Opportunistic lawyers and physicians who jump in and support some of these phony claimants are a huge problem.

This should be the first place to root out fraud and abuse.

If ABC CBS NBC MSNBC CNN Wapo NYtimes report it as great news, good times are here again, then THAT is the reality the low-info voters accept.

There’s as many television adverts for SocSec disability lawyers these days as there are for ambulance chasers. It must be a huge growth industry.

And if you include the people that are perfectly capable of working and choose not to because they can "get it for free", it's more like 30%.

Only one employment stat has any real value. That is the Employment-population ratio

All other employment stats are amenable to all sorts of statistical and political jiggery-pokery. This one doesn't lie.

As you can see, it fell off the table when Obama got elected and hasn't been able to get up since.
