DENVER (AP) — NORAD headquarters in Colorado were evacuated for about 4 1/2 hours Thursday after employees found five suspicious packages, but the command's control room team was working at a backup location about eight miles away at the time and no essential missions were disrupted, officials said.

Employees became suspicious because something about the packages looked "out of place," said Jeff Bohn, a spokesman at Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado Springs, where the North American Aerospace Command is based.

The only way they’ll get in Cheyenne Mountain is through the stargate.

Nice to hear they had a backup. The Norks would JUST LOVE to see that place empty when they test their capabilities on the United States.

This is a cover story.

Obama had launched his very own drone mission from deep within the White House— a secure location known as his Benghazi Hideaway.. He was targeting some guy with a history of packing a gun and a bible, having coffee in a nearby restaurant, but Obama got off course.

Obama has been getting off course lately.

The odor detection system’s first indication was confirmed. All 10 dozen chocolate chip cookies have been devoured by volunteer tasters who are still in good health.

I wonder if they were followed? Or maybe they have an eight mile long tunnel to the backup.

It was all washed down by glasses of milk to ensure no crumbs remained.

I was there before the show so there wasn’t when I was there. There was a huge hole with a 15 foot vent fan at the bottom. We used to throw people who asked too many questions in there.

NORAD is a joint U.S.-Canadian command that defends the skies over both nations and monitors sea approaches.

heck...if I were the Canadians I would get my own mountain and stop sharing secrets with the current regime, who would sell them out to the Chicoms or the N.Korea or Iran in a NY minute...
