So, let me explain ~ i was invited to a friend's party at his house. He taught indonesian languages and he was creating the Bhassa dictionary at the time ~ i served as a source for some of his materials ~ as did many hundreds of other people.
At the party there was the personal special secretary to the President of the World Bank, his son a major women's apparel designer in Southeast Asia, a postal inspector assigned to accompany the secretary to keep her eye on various others who grew up as Colonial Dutch or Portuguese in indonesia, and a couple of dozen others like that. I was just there but i'm good with picking up language and listening to conversations.
These folks were all, more or less, in exile, and the host had worked at the US embassy during Sukarno's days ~ he'd earlier been one of Sukarno's officers.
