Involuntary manslaughter at most.

It’s was a kids fight. Any fight can inadvertently lead to a death, and face it, kids get in fights all the time.

And to be more blunt about it, my comment to these kids right after they are convicted and sentenced to death would be, “You took another human’s life. Our culture values human life to the extent that we show it by requiring the life of anyone who would intentionally take it. I hope and pray that you get right with the Lord before that happens. I would like to see you in paradise.”

and I sincerely mean that. This life is a mist. Most of what is “important” now will be of no consequece whatsoever in the hereafter.
