If the TSA is going to be short handed (furloughs, lay offs) because of the SEQUESTER, and they provide uniforms ONLY for new hires....this doesn’t make sense. Nor does the purchase by Homeland Security of 2,717 light armored tanks. I just don’t get it.

I understand the new DHS uniform will be all black, with white trim, death's head insignia, and double lightning bolt runes on the collar. The cuff band says: Leibstandarte Barack Obama (1st DHS Armored Divison). Secretary Janet Napolitano ordered these snazzy uniforms from some Germans in Argentina.

Here is a 2009 article about TSA workers being allergic to their uniforms. Their Union website described exactly how to file a grievance on the matter. Are these new uniforms hypo-allergenic or just hype?

Good news is that at least at ATL the “long line” stuff is pure crap. Easiest security line ever this morning. Literally not one person waiting. If this is the price to pay for sequester lets do it every week :-)

The DHS insider said that the TSA is to be the administrations “enforcement agency”. It would make sense that they are being given preferential treatment. They need to look good while they harass the American people.
