Morning!
P6, did you just hear Quinn’s warning about the roads near Carnegie? Isn’t that in your area? Careful going home!
Mornin’ everybuddy!
Good morning!
Yup! That area of the parkway is VERY CLOSE to were oldest son skidded off the road. They salt that area heavily too. Could be what made him lose control. Yesterday his car was finished and everythings OK now.
Meanwhile as I was leaving I got a traffic report from Indiana county. IIRC it was a one vehicle accident...into tree on Rt 403...fatal...road closed for a mile stretch and at least one lane closed through this morning. No exact location...hope it doesn’t affect you.
Morning AM!
My sisters and brother and their families all live out that way. I haven’t heard anything. 403 passes through Clymer, where GregB lives. I’ll hear about it at work today. Everybody in that small town knows everybody else almost.
Looks like I’ll be firing up the snowblower later this afternoon... 5-7 inches of the stuff headed for my house..
They were saying we would get 6-10 inches then backed down to 3-6. Now saying 1-5. They really don’t know...
We’re looking at about 6 inches. I have tomatoes and green peppers started under grow lights. I have to pot them up this weekend. OK, so I’m an optimist. I’m hoping all the snow melts by the weekend so I can lay black plastic over the raised beds and start warming them up. Maybe I can get the plants in the ground in May instead of June.
Ahh, I’m soooooo longing for spring!
Just got an update on the ax...
403n...E Mahoning Twp...Marion Center FD, IPSP, Citizens Ambulance dispatched...happened around 3AM.
Dollar Tree has a bunch of basic gardening we need. Pots, solar lights, stakes stuff like that. Mrs p6 and I are on a kick for the solar dancing animals for the kids and on our workdesks. Monkeys, bears, bunnies, chicks. She bought a bunch...maybe 30 for her coworkers and friends.
Her coworkers all do the dance at her office. Kinda like the stupid Harlem Shake but cute.
I’m beginning to visit DT more, lol.
Thanks for the update. Nobody in my family would be out that late, and it’s up towards Marion Center, in the other direction. How sad for some family today.....
What did Quinn say about the roads in Carnegie? Was it the Parkway, or the side roads?
Good morning n’’@! Everyone!
I wish I had heard the Corbett in studio interview (but maybe for my BP it’s better that I didn’t). Hope he stands up AGAINST ObamaCare. I fear he will go all squishy (and he still has the PSU original investigation hovering a out him).
Be careful everyone...my weather geek friends think this storm (Saturn?) will be heavier in accumulation than forecasted. We shouldn’t get the high winds—but PGH should end up more like 6+; more south; less north. A slight (50 mile) track shift (and right now a tad further north than GFS & Euro forecasted). Baltimore & DC really going to get but—wait for the heavy snow to bring Obot calls of “glubull worming.”
I missed most of the phone call about Missouri...what all did anyone else get from it (dog barking).
LOL on the Oberlin/KKK audio...
The Oberlin story is so predictable. My next to youngest is at a small OH college to (it has a Petroleum/Natural Gas/Geology program that is highly ranked—that’s what he is there for) but it is a liberal Arts school. Oh my. Every other email “celebrates” “something/anything” “diverse.”
Ohio isn’t as conservative (sadly) as we think.
Parkway IB Btween Ros Farms and Carnegie. Kinda near the trestle. There is that sweeping left curve near the Carnegie exit. Always problems there.
Yup it was fatal. It popped up on one of my traffic feeds early but was lost when closer to Pgh traffic started coming in. It was also on

But they don’t update often.
Much of Erie is frozen but there are open areas on most of the other lakes. Ice breakers have been busy this year!
