Technically you are correct, Maybe?? My President, Richard Nixon issued an Executive Order and Publicly Declared a War on Drugs, Congress went along with it and passed numerous pieces of legislation to support the Order. Every Government Agency in the US officially became part of this “War”. It is Just as much a “REAL WAR” as Iraq, Afghanistan, Vietnam,....... All of these were Police Actions with NO DECLARATION OF WAR from Congress, and for some reason people think they are and were WARS. So the War on Drugs, as I see it is just that, a “WAR”.
Since Nixon’s EO, drug use has escalated to a level of acceptability, as a given lifestyle choice- much the same, as homosexuality. The denizens of moral depravity, delared War, upon traditional society/culture, long before Nixon’s EO. The philosophy of hedonism, masquerading as liberty, is fatal to all who embrace it, and to those who are forced to bear the burdens, of such fools.
