it will most likely be a passive process where if they catch you in the process of some other infraction, they will crucify you for the gun... like a traffic stop for a light out on the way to/from the range and they see a gun, they will check to see if it's registered, if not, screwed
any call to your house be it fire, ambulance, B&E, dog barking, neighbor knows you have guns and doesn't like you, whatever, if they see a gun, same/same
then try to get you to roll over on other gun owners
