AAARRRAAAUUUGGGHHH!
Friday morning around ten oldest son called and woke me up to tell me he put his Buick over a hill off Noblestown Road going into Carnegie. Happened about ten Thursday night. Our tow truck guy pulled him out and said he was good to go.
So 3AM Friday morning youngest son takes the car to work at Robinson Town Center. He gets there and hears a hissing and then BOOM!
Right rear tire exploded because a suspension part was rubbing on the tire. He and another guy put the spare donut on and he gets home.
He didn't realize the suspension part was rubbing and thought the tire had been damaged when it went off the road.
Friday afternoon I take it to the tire place and get a new tire put on. Driving it home I hear the rubbing and see the suspension is bent.
Spent the weekend figuring out what it needed, made a temp fix and this morning I'm taking it to our mechanic to see what he can do.
Icing on the cake: We were checking on mrs p6's uncle's house yesterday afternoon and found the furnace had broken and been off. No pipes frozen, everything is OK BUT today besides fixing the car I have to go help with the furnace.
Did I mention I'm crabby, LOL!
Oh no! You and sons have my sympathies on the vehicle situation! I hope you get it resolved.
I missed the opening, unfortunately. Gotta start taking my shower at night!
Oh, no! Sounds like you had a baaad weekend.
Hope everything works out.
