There was Mia Love (R) in Utah, who ran against Mathesson (D), son of a popular governor.

Mia Love had the lead in the newly created district, was ahead for several days of counting, then Mathesson magically pulled off a steal. Lots of commies in the University side of Salt Lake County.

One point of interest here is that Rove is an alumni (and drop-out) of the commie U-of-U, as a Poli-Sci student. His history is long on juvenile political antics, and short on principles.

He was a big-wig in the College Republican movement for several years. Not a totally bad idea to get students opposed to Lenin-style marxism, but the College Republicans are just the Trotsky side of the debate in a Gramscian Poli-Sci environment. They all favor cultural hegemony.

I think is was Star Parker who I remembered. Couldn’t believe she could lose after listening to her. I underestimated the empowering of laziness I think.
