In an upcoming documentary about the life and legacy of Dick Cheney previewed by Foreign Policy, the former vice president lashes out at former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. Brooding over one issue specifically, Cheney criticizes his former colleague for overriding his recommendation to bomb a suspected Syrian nuclear reactor in 2007.
"I thought [destroying the reactor] would reassert the kind of authority and influence we had back in '03 when we took down Saddam Hussein and eliminated Iraq as a potential source of WMD," Cheney says in the film, The World According to Dick Cheney. "Condi was on the wrong side of all those issues so we had significant issues."

When are the liars going to give up? As sitting SOS, Condi did not see it diplomatically proper to endorse anyone in 2008 yet asserted her party allegiance to the GOP. She factually noted the historical significance of Obama's election WHEN ASKED SPECIFICALLY TO COMMENT by a reporter. In 2012, she was all in for Romney's election unlike too many Freepers who fell in with Obama even as they denied doing so.
As much as I like Cheney, he needs to get over this apparent grudge. The pettiness is beneath him.
More lies. Unlike the "coy" Colin Powell, she's asserted her GOP ties. And in 2011/12 she was all in against Obama's reelection unlike many Freepers I could name...
Something happened to this site in the last six years or so. Condi Rice can't be mentioned without lies about the 2008 election, misogynistic or unabashed racist comments being spewed in her direction. It's filthy and disturbing.
She has also asserted that she is pro-choice.
I’m a big Cheney fan, myself. Enjoyed his book, too.
Condi was, and is, a huge supporter of affirmative action and a “feminist” in the DoS. . .meaning, all her high-level advisers were female-—by her own demand.
You won’t find any conservative or republican members in the DoS (there are a few) that had any good to say about her.
In other words Dick was doing it to the US would be seen as the bloody arrogant bully boy.
If he actually wanted the job to be done properly he would have let the Jews handle it.
No kidding. Cheney shoots his friends in the face. Imagine what he would do if he didn’t like you.
I just spit my beer all over the screen! Ha!
My dream ticket was always Cheney-Rumsfeld. Talk about liberal heads exploding and our enemies scared ——less!
One of the great photos.
If it’s a Dick Cheney thread, the rulz should require the posting of this picture ..

At my age, that ‘look’ is reminiscent of ones father or grandfather or coach, DI or anyone in authority catching you in a fowl up and trying to be ‘nice’. BEFORE lowering the boom.
If you show this pic to a ‘supposed’ R or self called Conservative and they don’t ‘get’ it or think he is being ‘mean’, you should reevaluate the persons Political AND life stance.
That eight years ruined the GOP and USA.
She didn’t go along with Obama in this last election; I’m not sure she voted/supported him in the 2008 election! It’s true she seemed awful happy when he did win, but I had put that down to being happy that a person of color could win.
I remember her saying in 2008 election that she supported the Republican ticket; unless she eventually caved in, I didn’t hear about that! I do remember Colin Powell flipping to Obama at the eleventh hour, but not her. She was adamantly against what he was doing on the foreign policy front in 2012 election, and gave a powerful speech about it at the Republ. convention and in at least one other event!
Apparently many people disagreed with you in 2004! He was voted in again with an even bigger vote margin, popular and electoral! Oh and Jeb was voted in as governor twice too! But don’t let me interrupt your little rant about the Bush’s, it’s like a broken record on here these days! If they were so bad as you say, why did they get voted in twice as governors and one of them twice as president?
