Democrats have had a hammer-lock control on Chicago for decades. Chicago has some of the strictest gun control laws in the country, so what give Democrats — any Democrat — the right to pontificate that we should follow their lead into gun control oblivion?
Demonstrate that Democrats can fix Chicago and then I'll listen to your fantasy hokum about how your taking away my right will make anyone safer!
It’s bad to kill people with Republican bullets, but it’s OK to kill people with Democrat bullets.....even here in the US.
Chicago is reaping the whirlwind from decades of one party rule and thugocracy. Obama’s Marxism fits well with this kind of governance.
I’d be willing to bet my next Soc Sec deposit that within the next 4 years, Illinois (and California and NY) will get federal guarantees for their state bonds to help their stunningly underfunded pensions.
Now I realize that guarantee is nothing more than Baraqqi/Bernanke/Geithner/Lew minibucks, but it will happen.
With that base of electoral votes locked, the Dems are golden forever.
One would think the recent experiences of Chicago’s sister city of misery, Detroit would’ve served as a cautionary tale about the fruits of corrupt, crony politics.
The societal decay that is consuming ever greater parts of Chicago is stunning. But ask any democrat and they’ll do their damndest to convince you it’s all on the rebound.

Four in all within my living memory. Add to Blago (D.) and Ryan (RINO) the names of Gov. Otto Kerner (D.) who was sentenced to 3 years in Club Fed.....and Gov. Dan Walker (D.) sentenced to 7 years in another Club Fed.
Not a conservative amongst them!
