Manila is just too big and congested, and the airport is listed as the worst in the world. The Dutch, however, tend to be the worst of all. I do not know why.

I don't want to go into Manila proper any more than I have to. Davao city is actually bigger physically, but 1/10 the population. I went all the way to Davao and back on Philippine Airlines, so I would only have to use the one single terminal. The other terminals are not even close to each other. Even then, I had to ask people how to go from international to domestic terminal. I showed your pic to my honey also. She wants to meet you and yours. The Dutch man I met was very nice and had us over for dinner. The Swedes and Norwegians were nice also.

I do have one Dutch friend, but he is almost impossible to understand, even when he is speaking English.
In general, however, they are considered to be the most obnoxious.
Yes, the separate air terminals in Manila are the number one objection.
Fortunately we have a US consulate in Cebu city, so there is no need to go to the embassy.
Special function embassy personnel come on certain days of the year.
Our baby boy, when only a few months old, had his interview and obtained his US passport via the Cebu consulate.
