Thank Gov Perry. It was he who encouraged and helped facilitate the inclusion of cultural studies to include Islam.

From the Memorandum of Understanding between The University of Texas at Austin and The Aga Khan University. http://www.scribd.com/doc/62191791/Mou-Ut-Aku-Signed-Copy

1.3 As a result of a mission to the University of Texas at Austin by representatives of the Aga Khan Development Network and the Aga Khan University, ongoing projects were reviewed including the progress and expansion of the Muslim Histories and Cultures Project, and a number of intellectual development areas have been identified for further exploration and include:

liberal arts;
architecture and human settlement;
management, government, public policy and civil society;
economic growth and development;
tourism and leisure
media and communications;
education, science and technology;
continuing education;
health sciences including joint research and training;
human development

2.1 Collaborate on the Muslim Histories and Cultures Project with the aim to expand the implementation of the project to and additional 180 teachers in the Texas School System over the next three years.

Perry has never taken an anti-Muslim or anti-Islam position.

Here is one of Perry’s comments.

“It is a great honor to be in the presence of the Imam of 16 million Muslims around the world, a global humanitarian leader, a man of peace with a pluralistic vision for people around the world, His Highness, the Aga Khan, the 49th Hereditary Imam of the Shia Imami Ismaili Muslims. Your Highness, on behalf of 23 million Texans, and over 600,000 thousand Muslims living in Texas, I extend our heartfelt appreciation for your 50 years of great international leadership. We are delighted to welcome you to the Lone Star State and participate in the celebration of your Golden Jubilee. I am also grateful to the many federal, state and local leaders in attendance tonight. By their presence, these special guests convey the profound respect that exists in the Western World for His Highness’ work and leadership.”

I kept warning people during the primaries but no one would listen.

You are exactly right... Perry is part of the Bush order of succession. Aga Khan was Bush Sr’s buddy at Harvard. Small world huh?

Aga Kahn foundation builds mosques all over the world to the tune of 40,000 a year.

Aga Kahn Foundation owns a lot of the land where fighting is going on in Afghanistan. Also, half of the banks that were funneling money to Al Qaeda in the last several years.

Convenience stores in Houston (a group of 5000 muslim retailers) list the Aga Kahn foundation as their major destination for donations.

But don’t worry... he supports the peaceful version of Muslim... we will all hang ourselves before it is said and done because we all operate in such a low information zone.
