NEW YORK Florida Sen. Marco Rubio is moving swiftly behind the scenes to lock down some of Wall Streets biggest donors ahead of the 2016 presidential race.
In recent weeks, the rising GOP star and possible 2016 hopeful has quietly met with some of the most powerful GOP backers in the world of high finance. The roster includes Blackstone Group Chief Executive Officer Stephen Schwarzman, Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. CEO Henry Kravis and senior executives at Goldman Sachs and Barclays Capital among others.
Rubio has gotten backing from big Wall Street titans before, notably hedge fund manager and billionaire Paul Singer. But the fresh round of private meetings with top names has Wall Street buzzing about Rubios future plans.

After yesterday’s defection of Rand Paul, I don’t trust any of them. Rubio’s probably telling Krupp and Siemens that if they back him, they’ll get all the bronze spanish speaking labor and votes they want after he fixes that pesky amnesty thing.
The GOP cannot cede the business world to the Dems.
Republicans still garner small business support, but have lost big business support.
Big business and government is one in the same now.
Why is that?
Because over time, they have found that burdonsome regulation helps big business by raising barriers to entry and choking out small business; therefore, many have jumped into the democrat ship Don’t be fooled, just because these people conduct commerce doesn’t mean they represent the interests overall economy.
The fact any politician must pay homage to Wall Street shows how deeply The FED and its money-center banks are entwined with Government.
we have a 2-party system - Progressive and Progressive-Lite
No way I'm voting for Rubio!!!
No real conservative supports Amnesty Liberal Marco Rubio
Now....he is schmoozing to the same folks who bankrolled Obama
He’s a RINO because of one issue?
His history and voting record looks pretty stellar and conservative to me.
Who is a better option at this early date?
He votes for the most conservative position on many issues. It is pretty easy to vote against gun control, bankrupting coal mines or giving money to Feminazis. There hasn’t been any tiebreaker votes for him to take. Many of the votes are less than majority and even with a majority would get vetoed by Obama.
The people who flip on amnesty are almost all RINOs and dont even look at the trillion dollar cost.
