For all you businessmen (and women) who might be able to provide these kits to the Navy, and also for all you weekend (and real) warriors out there. Kit requirements are pretty interesting and I'd include them here but the article has to be excerpted. They can also be found on the solicitation page, but are in an MS DOC file, which I cannot read on this computer. If anyone would like to post them, please do. But get them from the solicitation page so the slime at Time can't whine.

Cash in the local currency to bribe your way out. At least that’s what I’ve heard.

Let’s see. A double-barrel shotgun, a rape whistle, a cell phone to call 911, and of course an espresso machine with three (3) packets of coffee ... what else could anyone possibly need? /liberal

Bandages can serve as mini-pads, so there’s no reason women can’t do this.

Good kit for off the shelf, but this is old stuff to units that operate behind the lines, and depending on the theater and season your survival kit may be more like a butt pack.

The idea is that if you have to drop your 150 pound pack to flee from the enemy, such as from hunter/killer teams looking for your team, then you still need to retain enough to live on and to survive on and to E&E with, which could be really tough in harsh winter conditions.

.. it's bad enough being trapped behind enemy lines -- our military must be wary nowadays on both sides of the line! Especially after a severe blow to the enemy's ego like killing a revered leader (bin Laden) -- and the Administration 24/7 bragging about it.

A survival kit for this side of the line should include the newer MH-47s helicopter designed and outfitted for special operations, avoid the CH-47D, rated as one of the least capable Chinook helicopter variants. See SEAL Team VI Family: 'Obama’s Rules Are Getting Our Warriors Killed'

Some people even wonder if perhaps those Seals and others were sacrificed in a manner reminiscent of the move "Fail Safe" where a fictional president ordered a nuclear attack on a major U.S. city to placate the Soviets and avoid MAD.
