Is smoking pot more wrong than drinking alcohol?

I believe that pot has a much more mind altering effect than alcohol

It's not the drug but the dose ... you can get a mild buzz from either drug, or at higher doses you can get wrecked from either drug.

BTW, if you smoke a joint at night, you still be slightly mentally impaired the next day. Your memory won't be quite as good as usual and your motivation will be reduced. Coffee might help but you are still impaired.

A couple of beers will have basically no effect.

Again, it's not the drug but the dose - drink enough and you'll still be impaired the next morning.

So back to the question: Is smoking pot more wrong than drinking alcohol?

As you know they are different and not easily comparable. Alcohol leaves the body quickly, but THC is oil soluble and remains in fat cells for quite a long time. So it is not just a matter of dosage.

As to which is more wrong, that depends on how they affect the user.

That said, both should be absolute verboten for young people.

When you ask which is “more wrong?” you are asking for a value judgment. So it is important logically that you modify your request to include “in terms of what” is one more wrong than another (i.e. are you asking which is more damaging to one’s health or which (in my opinion) would God consider more or less wrong or which would society consider more or less wrong?).
