Medicaid costs are squeezing the states.

Christie is the latest GOP Governor to accept 100% federal funding of Medicaid. It was too good a deal to turn down.

If he's a lib, we need to throw him in with at least 7 other Republican governors, so far.

"Christie, a possible presidential candidate in 2016, joins Republican governors from Ohio, Arizona, Michigan, Nevada, North Dakota, Florida and New Mexico as well as Gov. Lincoln Chaffee of Rhode Island, an Independent, in embracing the larger Medicaid program."

He's about as good as we're ever going to get here in NJ. The state has the 4th worst unemployment of any state and massive debt, in a large part because of pie in the sky schemes by the last governor, Corzine. The shore area remains a wreck four months after Sandy. I don't want to see Christie in the White House, but if he runs as the VP candidate, and that gets a real conservative the job, sure. He's not half as crazy as Biden.

Romney lost for many reasons, including that he came across as a patrician out of a 1950s sitcom, that he's a generally nice, sober and respectable gentleman who was running against an unprincipled Chicago thug, that the US economy appeared to be improving on election day, and not the least of which is a historically lousy campaign capped by a GOTV plan that imploded on election day. I can see Christie as a VP candidate who would be far more viscous than Ryan ever was.
