White House says $500K won't guarantee Obama meeting
Posted by CNN Political Unit
(CNN) - After reports that top donors to the political group formed by President Barack Obama's campaign team would be granted quarterly access to the president, the White House stressed Monday the new organization would remain independent from administration activities.
But White House Press Secretary Jay Carney didn't deny that donors to the group, called Organizing for Action, could attend meetings with Obama or members of his staff.
"Administration officials can meet with them, including the president, but the fact of the matter is this is an independent organization that is supporting an agenda," Carney said.
The reports, in the New York Times and the Washington Post, indicated supporters who raised or contributed more than $500,000 for OFA would be invited to attend meetings with the president four times a year. The group was formed in January from the remaining infrastructure of Obama's presidential campaign to help promote his policy agenda.
Asked directly whether $500,000 was the "price tag to see the president," Carney said no, and stressed that OFA was an independent organization with restrictions on how it can interact with administration officials.

Well, considering the frequency that such things happen to him and the fact that Pubbie presidents with any events like it would have been jumped on / ran by the Right hating press if any actually existed, it does give one pause.
Me, I totally believe it.
The press would definately have pointed all that out if it was a Republican.
To add to this: remember that summer 40 year storm that blacked out DC for a week? Remember that 6.0 eartquake that damaged the cathedral, but more so the top spire(cap) of the Washington Monument(that seemed a real solid warning to me) and not all that much damage to DC in general? Then there was the hurrican that hit NYC with a lot of the wind and on down to DC which saw most of the rains. Then there was the young girl who sang at Obam’s inaguration. Their was a band that was there, and I believe it was a band that just recently had a bus accident while on the road. What ever it is, there is alot of bad Mojo coming from this man’s soul. It is best to stay clear of him and those around him.
Bill Clinton must be thinking “This guy makes me look like an amateur. And I actually believed Hillary could beat him.”
It’s not enough!
