His comments demonstrate just how inept the MSM has grown. The First Amendment states that Congress shall make no law. The White House actions are merely exploiting new technologies and the collective noses of the MSM are out of joint. The MSM is fast to find new rights in the constitution but slow to defend established rights such as the right to bear arms. I have no respect whatsoever for Obama or his administration but I will not allow my contempt to bastardize the constitution.
I might miss the mark here, but you are dead on. Obama has not totally undercut the Constitution regarding Free Speech - yet. Bill Plante, and the rest of the media, are perfectly free to launch a continuing critique of the President, his appointees, his policies, and everything else that he does or says. But, they won't. It is self censorship that Plante and his cohorts have practiced. It is THEY, and not Obama, who have stifled their First Amendment rights in the name of the liberal collective.
