Oh, Mr. Rosen, there’ll be a lot of State’s scrambling to save Mr. Kerry. BO won’t be there to do it for them.

Heh, getting pretty bad when even America hating terrorists don’t want to meet with another America hater.
I guess even Al Qaeda has higher standards in people with whom they will associate than the Viet Cong.

Without this posting one would not know why he’s going to Italy in the first place. Iti elections are today and BB (fist name starts with Billionaire) might pull it off. Their elections are usually are not resolved within a week so their foreign minister of the month would be yet to be decided.
Very likely the reason the Islamists won’t meet with him is because they won’t sign Kyoto treaty.

And here I thought Kerry was vying for another statue of himself in the Middle East like the one in Vietnam.

Did you know Kerry served in vietnam? If they did, they’d crawl over broken glass to meet with him.

Ha! Is that like pouring ketchup into an open wound? Wouldn’t it be funny if few countries agreed to meet with treasonous sob?

[. . .some of those rebel figures who have been most vocal in rejecting the meeting with Kerry are said in private to favor it and to be asking Washington to do more to provide them with the political cover they feel would enable them to make the trip.]
The “political cover” would be for the State Department to recognize al-Nusra, and other AQ groups fighting beside the rebels, as legitimate. This isn't a big leap from embracing the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt and the Talibs in Afghanistan.

Kerry doesn’t so much object to the anti-American Islamists that might be in the rebel coalition, he just wants to determine if the rest are Communist enough to meet his standards.
