Possibly. Twenty years ago, I was driving my then-girlfriend and her mother to a hospital, and had to go through some part of Brooklyn where those of Italian, German or Polish ancestry were not usually found. I was driving my much-loved '66 Dodge Dart.

I was pulled over, and asked what we were doing. Never was there a hint that I was doing anything wrong. We just touched off the policeman's "One of these things doesn't belong here" alarm.
