True but have you ever talked to a Brit about the Palestinian question? The anti-Jewish anti-Israel bias in Britain is epidemic. I remember talking to a fellow who went ballistic when I compared the PLO to the IRA. Funny how the Brits can recognize terrorists in their back yard, but see the PLO as freedom fighters. The BBC bias on Israel is horrendous. Even their fictional programming reflects this bias. A wonderful book by Sir Walter Scott (Ivanhoe), where his Jewish character was sympathetic, was turned into a sniveling, conniving, pathetic human being in the BBC production of the same story. I think the British are paying for their decades of antisemitism and working against Israel's national interests.

I have said this a million times here, but dont let a minority of vocal leftists in the UK make you think that the majority of British hate Israel. And support Palestine.
The brutal truth is that most Brits are sick of the Isr-Pal conflict and couldnt care either way. That might be callous, but it is not support for Palestine either.

And your assertion that the British people are anti-semitic is an offensive lie. An utter and disgusting lie. The Jewish population of Great Britain lives happily without any major anti-semitism. In fact, Judaism is openly celebrated as a long standing and vibrant part of British culture. British TV ran Jewish documentaries across all five of its network channels last year, celebrating the Jewish British culture. Did America?.

British Jewish entertainers, writers, politicians and businesspeople openly celebrate their Jewishness. The London East End Jew, with his sharp wit and mouth is as well loved and known a cultural icon as the Glaswegian or the Cockney.

The current British Prime Minister is part Jewish. As is the deputy PM. As is the leader of the opposition party(Labour). So you have Jewish-descended people in the three most important political positions in the UK. Are Obama, Biden and Romney Jewish?......

You’d do well to remember that the UK is the nation that rejected the naked antisemitism of the 1930’s Fascists, and continues to reject the antisemitism of the BNP and other fringe neo-nazi parties and groups.

The UK is the nation that stood alone against Hitler in 1940 and 1941, while America and others stood by. The UK is the nation that defeated the Nazis, liberated Belsen and saved Jewish lives.

To suggest that the British people are antisemitic OR that the jews of Britain are victims of mass cultural or physical antisemitism is a downright and disgusting lie.
