John has the new database server up and running, but I don’t think he’s brought it online yet as far as being our primary db server. He attempted to do so yesterday, but weird things happened so he reverted back to the old one. He repaired the old db server while he was up in San Jose the other day. It was a failed power supply. He now has both db servers receiving all db transactions so we’ll have a mirror image in real-time. I believe he’s planning on switching over to the new server on Tuesday, then the old one will serve as back up.
By the way, the last message he sent to me regarding the new server before flying out on a trip he had planned before the crash was, “It’s really insanely fast.”
Thanks Jim, nice to understand ( at least as far as I can)
what is happening!
Yes, it is faster!
I don’t know about insanely, but I do understand insane, that’s me!
It’s 80 degrees and sunny today, I have my dog at my side and we both have plenty to eat. What more can I ask for?
FR?
I got that too! LOL
