I don’t know if I’d put the Bay of Pigs on this list or not. It was a mafia-designed operation to help put their guys back into office. If Cuba had run a successful Bay of Pigs....you’d have Cuba operating as a big piggy-bank for the US mafia groups today, and tons of corruption leading from Havana to DC.

It was, I believe, planned by the Eisenhower administration even though it was carried out by the JFK administration. That would be part of my reasoning for not including it.

The Bay of Pigs invasion was put together under Eisenhower and run by the CIA. It would have worked if JFK wasn’t such a druggie.

It was similar to operations the US used in Venezuela and other places to make sure they’d have governments friendly to us.

Mafia involvement in Cuba was a result of JFK trying to assassinate Castro. Ironic that Castro got JFK first and the left made him their hero.
