The Oregon House has voted to extend resident college tuition rates to some young illegal immigrants.

The House's 38-18 vote on Friday sends the measure to the Senate. In the last decade, similar legislation has failed twice.

The measure would allow students to qualify for in-state tuition at the Oregon's seven public universities if they've attended an Oregon high school for at least three years and lived in the United States for at least five.

Oregons entire government structure is dominated by liberals. A few good conservatives fight the good fight every day. One is my friend, State Rep. Sal Esquivel. I would like you to watch the video of his house speech protesting this bill. Thanks again, Sal!

Congratulations to the Oregon taxpayers and the moms and dads whose little junior is going to lose a spot in “college” to an illegal alien.

ITS “alien” NOT “IMMIGRANT” . That is all over our statutes. And i’m tired as hell of paying for these free loaders. The Government let them in and gave the welfare— Now the government can get them out of here and jail any employer that pays these parasites.ADIOS!!

Out-of-state students who pay higher tuition should sue the state. After all, it is not their faults that their mommies and daddies chose to reside in other states!

This means that the illegals have already cost the state billions in free High School education for them for at least the last 3 years. Now they get to fugg over legal residents by taking their spots in college.

HEAR THAT!!! They gotta ‘swear’ they’ll follow the rules...just like they’ve been ‘following the rules’ (NOT), their entire lives.

Oregon’s entire government structure is dominated by liberals, who I have watched over 50 years come into this state, not for it’s beauty and culture, not for what it was when they got here, welcomed by we rubes, but to CHANGE IT! Just like the current crop of illegal aliens...they don’t accept our laws or culture and they ARE changing it!
ALL CULTURES ARE NOT CREATED EQUAL! I can tell you this was a better place before big city liberals invaded and changed OUR HOME and CULTURE and LIVES!

Tell that to the Oregon legislature because, fur shur, they took the action of preferring foreigners over Americans ~ with a clear understanding of who was going to have to get off at the end of the train.

This really makes me mad. One of my daughters went to the University of Oregon because she wanted to get a degree in Interior Design. She did, but we are still stuck with huge education loans, even though I paid off as much of it as I could at the time. Very high tuition for out of staters.

So Oregon rewards criminals with extra “rights” (the right to entitlements) while preparing to decimate the “rights” of law-abiding citizens (massive gun-control legislation).

Folks, these are the enemies of America that the John Birch society warned us about.

Yeah, it stinks for USA kids. I moved 10 miles over the calif/oregon border and had to pay out of state tuition for my kid who was born and raised in Oregon.

“Out-of-state students who pay higher tuition should sue the state.”

Federal laws already mandate that if a state gives illegal aliens in-state tuition, it must also give it to out-of-state US citizens.

Specifically, the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996, §1623 states that public post-secondary institutions need not admit illegal aliens at all, but if they do, these aliens cannot receive in-state tuition unless out-of-state United States citizens receive this benefit.”

All that is needed is for students to bring an action against the state. Problem: They have to be first injured before they can sue. That is why similar suits have not made it past appeals - the students had not yet started to pay tuition.

Taxpayers are being forced to educate Third World pressure groups---no question, salivating, vote-crazed US politicians are making deals w/ Third World countries (for yes votes on these issues....including amnesty).

IMPOVERISHED THIRD WORLD COUNTRIES W/ PRESSURE GROUPS IN THE US (here illegally): Argentina, Belize, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominica Republic, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico (stateside), Salvador, Spain, Uruguay, Venezuela.

These impoverished countries have cunningly determined that amnestizing their pressure groups on US soil forces vote-crazed US politicians to handover zillions in foreign aid. The financial benefits politicians derive from these issues are huge--establishing a permanent Dem majority of Third World "pressure groups" exchanging votes at the ballot box for foreign aid.

========================================

Chain immigration is a horrific result of amnesty. All the old folks plus the extended family back home----will invade---salivating at the thought of gorging on US benefits.

REFERENCE Citizenship for young illegals triggers chain migration of extended families. The Washington Times | Feb 15, 2013 Editorial Entitlement spending and immigration are two issues that threaten America’s financial future. The two controversies meet in the case of the newly arrived elderly, many of whom have discovered they can cash in on an overly generous welfare system.

The scam is simple. Senior immigrants typically live with their foreign-born adult children who already have gained their US citizenship. After five years of green-card status, the parents can apply for citizenship.

From 2000 through 2011, about a million persons aged 60 or over were granted citizenship, accounting for about 13 percent of total naturalizations. Often, the immigrant children are highly educated and quite well off, living in upscale homes and driving expensive cars.

Their elderly parents’ standard of living is often well above that of most Americans, thanks to their children’s success. The only factor considered is income, and language and distance barriers render it nearly impossible for U.S. authorities to verify whether they have income in their home country.

Medicaid for recent, elderly immigrants is practically a given. They frequently take advantage of Section 8 housing benefits, which can provide an extra place to stay on weekends after keeping an eye on the grandkids during the weekdays.

Elderly illegals crowd waiting lists for Section 8 housing to the extent that the lists get closed to new applicants, resulting in a particularly perverse outcome: Many of those shut out are genuinely poor. (Excerpt) Read more at washingtontimes.com ...

.... enemies of America.....financed by taxpayers AND now dictating US policy....

Mexico and the Third World are pushing north at a furious pace----visions of foreign aid tax dollars, and takeover of the Southwest, dancing in their heads.

Fifth Column pressure groups acting on orders from their homelands know that vote-crazed US pols will kneel in obeisance and pucker up to any and all hypphenated voting blocs. .

The Mexican government adopts one, very smooth, tone when speaking to its patsies in America---vote-crazed US pols---- and another, very militant, tone when speaking to its own people about its ruthlessness in pursuing its own national interest at the expense of ours.

As long as vote-crazed politicans continue to suck-up to hyphenates to get re/elected, this scam will continue.

=================================================

EXCERPT Mexico has never been a friend of the US.Ask Texas Valley old timers about the “WW 11 days” in South Texas and you’ll get stories and tales, enough to fill a book. South Texas was a hot-bed of conspiracies, real and present dangers, and a direct war-time threat to the US. Apparently the concerns were not without foundation.

For one, the political climate in Mexico was extremely volatile. Agents of the German war machine were known to be active throughout Mexico (with the knowledge and consent of the Mexican govt).

Nazi Germany was the leading importer of Mexican oil, taking just over half of their annual production....... To counter, American oil and gas production in Texas and Louisiana was elevated. Port Isabel's large oil refinery was a shipping point for fuel headed to the war, and was considered a possible target for German U-boat shelling or even a shore scurry. (Hat tip to FReeper Grampa Dave for posting the full article.)

AS FREEPER TADSLOS INSIGHTFULLY POSTED: Americans have the foreign government of Mexico (and its co-conspirators in the Third World), that continually and relentlesly meddle in the internal affairs of the US----and BOTH vote-crazed political parties----- and ALL three branches of our government---- enable and actively participate in the process. Mexico, however, would NEVER cede it’s sovereignty to the US - but they sure don’t mind taking our foreign aid dollars. Mexico is a giant leech, sucking us dry.

The financial benefits to be derived from amnesty are huge--establishing a permanent Dem majority of Third World "pressure groups" exchanging votes at the ballot box for foreign aid.

IMPOVERISHED THIRD WORLD COUNTRIES W/ PRESSURE GROUPS IN THE US (here illegally): Argentina, Belize, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominica Republic, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico (stateside), Salvador, Spain, Uruguay, Venezuela.

A bit off-topic---but just goes to show what we can expect.

In 2007, Sen Bob Menendez (D-NJ) introduced a Senate bill, “The Glaucoma Screening Act,” that proposed $10 million in federal grants to firms that would have acted--- in part---to expand eligibility to "Hispanics-only" who are at risk of glaucoma.

Menendez donor and sex-procurer Salomon Melgen’s Miami-area eye clinic treats many Latinos who makeup a majority of the area's population. It was not specifically cited in the Menendez bill whether Melgen would have benefited.

Menendez’s spokeswoman Tricia Enright noted that Menendez had a long history of working with the "Friends of the Congressional Glaucoma Caucus," whose leader asked the senator’s staff to introduce the bill.

Irregardless of Menendez's suckup, the legislation never made it out of the Senate committee. (excerpted AP report on The Daily Caller)
