The Oregon House has voted to extend resident college tuition rates to some young illegal immigrants.
The House's 38-18 vote on Friday sends the measure to the Senate. In the last decade, similar legislation has failed twice.
The measure would allow students to qualify for in-state tuition at the Oregon's seven public universities if they've attended an Oregon high school for at least three years and lived in the United States for at least five.

Congratulations to the Oregon taxpayers and the moms and dads whose little junior is going to lose a spot in “college” to an illegal alien.

Out-of-state students who pay higher tuition should sue the state. After all, it is not their faults that their mommies and daddies chose to reside in other states!
This means that the illegals have already cost the state billions in free High School education for them for at least the last 3 years. Now they get to fugg over legal residents by taking their spots in college.

Oregon’s entire government structure is dominated by liberals, who I have watched over 50 years come into this state, not for it’s beauty and culture, not for what it was when they got here, welcomed by we rubes, but to CHANGE IT! Just like the current crop of illegal aliens...they don’t accept our laws or culture and they ARE changing it!

This really makes me mad. One of my daughters went to the University of Oregon because she wanted to get a degree in Interior Design. She did, but we are still stuck with huge education loans, even though I paid off as much of it as I could at the time. Very high tuition for out of staters.
So Oregon rewards criminals with extra “rights” (the right to entitlements) while preparing to decimate the “rights” of law-abiding citizens (massive gun-control legislation).
Folks, these are the enemies of America that the John Birch society warned us about.
Yeah, it stinks for USA kids. I moved 10 miles over the calif/oregon border and had to pay out of state tuition for my kid who was born and raised in Oregon.
Just amend any benefits bill for illegals with an amendment to allow them to purchase guns.

Federal laws already mandate that if a state gives illegal aliens in-state tuition, it must also give it to out-of-state US citizens.
Specifically, the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996, §1623 states that public post-secondary institutions need not admit illegal aliens at all, but if they do, these aliens cannot receive in-state tuition unless out-of-state United States citizens receive this benefit.”
All that is needed is for students to bring an action against the state. Problem: They have to be first injured before they can sue. That is why similar suits have not made it past appeals - the students had not yet started to pay tuition.

Nazi Germany was the leading importer of Mexican oil, taking just over half of their annual production....... To counter, American oil and gas production in Texas and Louisiana was elevated. Port Isabel's large oil refinery was a shipping point for fuel headed to the war, and was considered a possible target for German U-boat shelling or even a shore scurry. In 2007, Sen Bob Menendez (D-NJ) introduced a Senate bill, “The Glaucoma Screening Act,” that proposed $10 million in federal grants to firms that would have acted--- in part---to expand eligibility to "Hispanics-only" who are at risk of glaucoma.
Menendez donor and sex-procurer Salomon Melgen’s Miami-area eye clinic treats many Latinos who makeup a majority of the area's population. It was not specifically cited in the Menendez bill whether Melgen would have benefited.
Menendez’s spokeswoman Tricia Enright noted that Menendez had a long history of working with the "Friends of the Congressional Glaucoma Caucus," whose leader asked the senator’s staff to introduce the bill.
