We have the new HE model and it works fine. The only bad thing about them
is they take longer to wash and if you don’t leave the door open after use
mold can grow.

The good thing about the HE dryer is it works really fast so it all balances out.

Can you unplug the washer between uses? I unplug everything that is not in use and have found that it is a phenomonal electrical usage reduction...

In addition, is your HE a topload or front load? I was considering a larger front load for a bit, but then I found out that these units have problems spinning rubber backed rugs (bathroom rugs) and heavy blankets/comforters.

Dang, it is all so confusing....why can’t I just go back to simple times...
