almost to that point myself

The problem I have with packages from a cable or satellite provider is the fact that liberal media gets their cut of your monthly payment.

For that reason alone, I dropped direct-TV after being a customer for almost 15 years. I now have Netflix and Roku. Dropped Beck after he lost it after the election. I'll probably pick him back up soon, lately he seems to be more in sync with the issues of the day, and not more-on-trival BS.

15MB cable Internet with unlimited nationwide phone service is $45 a month here, Netflix is about $10 a month, the Roku device was a one time $75 purchase, and my son got me a 60" LCD for Xmas. Between that, redbox, Youtube, and local channels free for weather and local news; keeps me pretty entertained and informed - not to mention FR! ;)

There are other channels (like those you mentioned) I would add if they were available over the Internet or through some alacarte service.

For now, I'm dedicated to ensuring the freaking MSM doesn't get a damn dime of mine, not now or ever again! That's just me...

Thanks for the info.
Probably going to start thinking about it.
Sad with 4 TVs in the house, me and my wife combined probably don't watch 10 hours a week.
The cable company (Charter) is fixing to require us to get 1 converter box per TV regardless if they're digital.
About the last straw.
