Washington State Bill Calls for Sheriff to Inspect the Homes of Assault-Weapon Owners

Mod note: the source has changed the title and the body of this article after this was posted.

Forget police drones flying over your house. How about police coming inside, once a year, to have a look around? As Orwellian as that sounds, it isn’t hypothetical. The notion of police home inspections was introduced in a bill last week in Olympia.

Someday, US government goons will be coming into homes looking for Bibles.
Remember this prediction.

My thought: Whenever legislation of this or the confiscation variety is introduced, a pro-Second Amendment member of the legislative body in question should introduce an amendment along these lines:

"If this piece of legislation at any point requires a law enforcement officer(s) to knock on a citizen's door or to enter a citizen's home, that law-enforcement delegation MUST be accompanied and LED by at least one member of this house who voted FOR this law. Further, resignation or retirement from office or defeat at the polls shall not be construed as providing an exemption to this requirement. It will be in force for the lifetime of any legislator voting for this legislation."<\B> <\Br>

That way, when any patriot decides to go out with his guns blazing -- but, in reality, only has time to get off one round -- his one round can possibly be used to eliminate one representative or the real source of these oppressive laws: Tyrannical (read: "Progressive") legislators.

Mistake or not, it is proof of what liberals believe in and what we must protect ourselves from. They believe in total government domination when they have the power but believe in anarchy when we do. Maybe we should jsut pass a law that says a Bible must be in every home under inspection.

I’ve mentioned this before: in Bloomsburg PA, antique dealers are required to submit their business records — all transactions — to the local police for inspection. The police have the powers of government auditors.

It is outrageous, it is tragic that people accept this sort of thing now. Had it happened in 1776 it would have made the list in the DoI.

It is a very small step indeed, to police inspection of homes. Child protective services already do it, with court orders gotten with less trouble than obtaining a ham on rye at the automat.

People accept it. They are sheep, domesticated, castrated, shorn, shepherded, frightened, contemptible sheep. They have largely forgotten any alternative to obeying the law, any law, good or evil.

If you don’t let the police in, what do you do? Resist? If you’re not resisting already, you never will.

If you’re still paying support to this government, you always will.

Maybe we should introduce federal and state bills to ban abortion, and criminalize any who support it as accomplice to murder.

Tit for tat. Two can play that game.

I wonder how much longer before the “rubber band” snaps back the other way?

Ever pull a 236-year-old rubber band?

Note the date - and items 19 and 20. It’s no mistake. A commenter there posted this:

State of Washington
61st Legislature
2010 Regular Session

By Senators Kline, Fairley, Kohl-Welles, and McDermott
Read first time 01/13/10. Referred to Committee on Judiciary.

(5) In order to continue to possess an assault weapon that was
17 legally possessed on the effective date of this section, the person
18 possessing the assault weapon shall do all of the following:
19 (a) Safely and securely store the assault weapon. The sheriff of
20 the county may, no more than once per year, conduct an inspection to
21 ensure compliance with this subsection;
22 (b) Possess the assault weapon only on property owned or
23 immediately controlled by the person, or while engaged in the legal use
24 of the assault weapon at a duly licensed firing range, or while
25 traveling to or from either of these locations for the purpose of
26 engaging in the legal use of the assault weapon, provided that the
27 assault weapon is stored unloaded and in a separate locked container
28 during transport.

I’d introduce bills to make the Democratic Party illegal and a subversive organization. They do not pass Constitutional muster either.

“A bill like this should not pass a Constitutional examination.”

The author of this bill should be Alinsky’d. Do it enough times to these criminals and maybe they will stop.

I imagine the appointment for inspection going like this:

Telephone ringing

Patriot: Hello

Sheriff’s Office: Yes, this is the Sheriff’s Office calling to schedule your first annual Assault Weapons home inspection.

Patriot: Huh?

Sheriff’s Office: We can schedule your inspection anytime between 9:00 AM and midnight.

Patriot: I’m busy at those times.

Sheriff’s Office: So midnight it is.

Patriot: I’ll be ready for you.

Perfect example of how our communists nation will become. Not a chance of this not being the Federal law within a few years.

The pendulum will only swing Right again over the ruins of our cities and piles of dead bodies.

Agreed.

The almost complete infestation of "liberal" thought in two of our major institutions - the media and education - will only be eradicated through a large dose of pain.

And as you noted, the application of pain will not be pleasant...

Precisely! But these are NOT mistakes. These a$$hats know that these bills are rarely perused before signing, so it will slip through. Perhaps they should be removed for gross negligence—the signer and the introducer.

Ah, but the wording is “may” not “shall”. Thus, it is at the discretion of the Sheriff. So pick out the libtards who own guns, and “review” their homes.
