Wallace plays clips of both Hoyer and Boehner on the Sequestrastion. Hoyer blames republicans; Boehner blames president.
Wallace asks Woodward who’s idea was it? Woodward says the Whitehouse. (Wow, I’m shccked he told the truth on this one!)......but then he goes on to say it’s a stupid policy.
Kim Stassel - Wallace asks about whether it will happen. She says very likely because obama won’t deal with entitlements. Dem’s only solution is tax hikes....Republicans aren’t interested. Says there is some latitude in how it’s implemented. Says obama/administartion is making it as painful as possible.
Juan - says it will hurt the economy.
Juan is mystified on why this is the President’s sequestor. (guess he didn’t realize it was the admin’s idea) blames Republicans for voting for it.
Woodward says dem’s are quietly asking obama if the cuts can be delayed for a year.
Why didn't they solve this during the "Fiscal Cliff" negotiations? Obama had agreed to an adjustement in the Cost of Living increase for Social Security, and the Republicans gave away the tax increase for incomes over $450K, raised the SS payroll tax on everybody, and agreed to Billions for an unemployment "benefits" extension (again).
The Fiscal Cliff = Taxes + Sequester
They dealt with taxes, and only delayed the Sequestration cuts, and we are right back into "crisis" mode again. Boehner walked away from the negotiations, pursued this ill advised "Plan B" that he couldn't even get Republicans to support, and then everyone just gave up.

I don't know what these politicos mean by that. How does the Pentagon manage what is now says is a 13% across the board meat ax to its budget 1/2 way through the fiscal year, and they cannot touch military pay, and they cannot change most procurement contracts?
I'll tell you how. They slash Operations and Maintenance to the bone.

BOTH sides are making this as painful as possible. Obama is a Marxist Communist, and the Republicans have abandoned the military and are now chanting "Burn it All Down!" so that they can be "me too!" defenders of the welfare state. Glad the GOP is now for Amnesty that will cost us Billions more.
