Liberals all over America are just giddy over the way newly elected Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren blasted bank regulators in a Senate hearing this week. They are singing her praises as the champion of the consumer.
The Huffington Post reported on her performance with the headline, “Elizabeth Warren Embarrasses Bank Regulators at First Hearing.” A YouTube video was also posted with the same title. The 4 minute video shows Senator Warren confronting top bank regulators from the FDIC, SEC, OCC, CFTC, Fed, and Treasury. The video is shown below.
Another site, Gawker.com, reported the same story with the headline, “Elizabeth Warren Puts Bank Regulators to Shame in First Senate Hearing.”

However, regulators and prosecutors HAVE been grossly negligent for not prosecuting enormous fraud by banks, starting with the biggest Banks.
She was just in it for the scalps.
If the cameras weren’t there she would have passed around the peace pipe.
I find the idea of this fraud being in the US Senate absurd. I noticed Machel Madcow heaping praise on her tonight.
Demagogues like Warren will always win the arguments and keep the scam going because a majority of people simply do not understand what is going on, how banks work and how important they are.
We're thrown back 100 years ago with people like William Jennings Brian and his Cross of Gold BS appealing to the ignorant.

Remember, Warren is a huge fan of turning the 401K’s and IRA’s to government control. It’s been her dream for years.
She touts that she is for the little guy, shes out for herself her husband and nothing more. She is the political criminal element we see running the country today.
This is the type of reporting that HuffPo and other leftist outlets use to boost the public image of a weak politician. Warren is seriously flawed—compare her election triumph to the loss of Akin in Missouri, one had a smarts problem and the other an honesty problem—but the leftist media will build an image of Warren that strengthens her political power. HuffPo will also do this to make Massach. voters feel like they made the right choice in electing her. This is the power of propaganda and unless conservatives strengthen their information and media system, there is no beginning to stop the damage done by the left.
She’s a major leftist loser.
However, the big banks have been gambling with Trillions of $ backed by taxpayers money because the politicians are captured by financial interests and their crimes are whitewashed.
Warren gets kudos for her zealous questioning but Cruz needs to sit down and be quiet?
I wish the media would make up their minds!
These liberal politicians were backed by people who wanted in on the banking bubble which would be coming.
Not all banks are alike.
But check out the comments. A lot of the posters on gawker aren’t taking the bait. They see Warren’s performance as pointless grandstanding — political theater. That’s not so true at the Huffington Post, though.
Glad I found this article. My young hipster relatives on facebook, and their friends, are trumpeting Warren for President in 2016. I guess this is what it is all about.
Perhaps you should remind them that it’s Obama’s bank regulators that she is bashing.
I think their bigger target are the evil greedy capitalist bankers.
