I was also rather disappointed to learn that he's an Independent... he sure sounds like a conservative, though, from what I've heard from him so far.

The only reason I am still registered as a Republican is so I can vote in the primaries. FWIW, I know quite a few conservatives who are either registered as Independents or consider themselves independents. As we all know, simply having and “R” behind one’s name (or on a voter registration card), does not a conservative make.

IMO the conservatives need to take over the GOP, NOT form a third party, as many FReepers keep fantasizing about. A third party will ensure that Marxists like Obama "rule" the United States in perpetuity...

During his original speech at the Prayer Breakfast, I was wondering what was running through Hussein’s pointy little jug-eared head when Carson was speaking about his own mother. She was a good mother who motivated her kids to excel. Hussein’s thinking, “Sh!t. My mother was a Commie slut who abandoned me by dumping me with my grandparents.” That’s gotta hurt.

On Hannity last night, I thought the questions from the audience were outstanding.

The Q&A with the esteemed audience was amazing... I could have listened to another two hours, with Dr. Carson having more time to answer those questions in greater detail.

Hope we see and hear more from Dr. Carson. I agree it will be difficult, but I hope he somehow manages to break through to more mainstream audiences... not just preaching to conservatives like us.
