Missouri Democrats Introduce Legislation to Confiscate Firearms(90 Days to Turn in Weapons)
The Gateway Pundit ^ | February 14, 2013 | Jim Hoft

Missouri Democrats introduced an anti-gun bill which would turn law-abiding firearm owners into criminals. They will have 90 days to turn in their guns if the legislation is passed.

Dana Loesch Radio reported on the new legislation being pushed by Missouri Democrats:

Any person who, prior to the effective date of this law, was legally in possession of an assault weapon or large capacity magazine shall have ninety days from such effective date to do any of the following without being subject to prosecution.

Here’s part of the Democratic proposal in Missouri:

4. Any person who, prior to the effective date of this law, was legally in possession of an assault weapon or large capacity magazine shall have ninety days from such effective date to do any of the following without being subject to prosecution:

(1) Remove the assault weapon or large capacity magazine from the state of Missouri;

(2) Render the assault weapon permanently inoperable; or

(3) Surrender the assault weapon or large capacity magazine to the appropriate law enforcement agency for destruction, subject to specific agency regulations.

5. Unlawful manufacture, import, possession, purchase, sale, or transfer of an assault weapon or a large capacity magazine is a class C felony.

Oh, I understand completely - just was answering the question as it was posed... no claims or assumptions are being made beyond that.

The Democrats that introduced this bill are from "safe" democrat areas in St Louis & Kansas City is my guess.

Anything to get a 20 second sound bite.

note the Pavlovian "gun violence" mantra

"Gun violence" is a euphemism for gun ownership.

I think it’s fine to let them stay in Missouri. Just change their occupancy to six feet below ground level.

-Unintended Consequences

I'm reading that right now (up to around 1995, where MO is trying once again to legalize guns for self defense) and was surprised to see this story, knowing how recently this was an issue in this same state. The gun-grabber beat never changes, though they alter the verse and chorus to suit their current audience.

I am overwhelmed by the history conveyed in UC - I heard Rush today mentioning that Timothy McVeigh bombed the federal building in response to Waco; reading the UC explanation of the Waco event makes me wonder if I shouldn't reevaluate my opinion of theses events! (Back then, I still thought the Feds were the good guys....)

No divorce -— she sees the world for what it is and she’s just as uncomfortable with the future.

I first read UC in ‘99 after hearing of it on FreeRepublic, and have reread several times since. Helped me get involved in the CC movement as well as local Freeper activity in Kansas City. Protested Clinton at VFW convention in ‘99, election rallies in 2000 and NRA convention ‘01. Met C. Heston and lots of other prominent figures at NRA, Million Moms had protest across the street and we marched around them flying the Gadsden flag.

Glad to see it’s a free ebook now, as I tried to get copies for friends. My son has a copy I gave him still new in shrink wrap.

“...I’m ex-military and have been around guns my whole life...”

No offense intended, brother.

RE Wife/women in general: I have never understood irrational fears of anything, especially firearms, from them.

My wife shoots expert; so do my grown kids. I made sure that they did, because firearms are a part of our world, and always WILL be - despite the best efforts of the fascist democrats and RINOs.

They want to force local cops to follow DC by fiat cult of democrates.

Thing is, cops detest gun control because they feel safer with a legal citizenry than amongst the trolls of Democrate prostituting KGB dangerous homos with no family and no cause to lose like Dorner.

You got that one right. I wonder if some guns may be reported stolen in the near future.

Bummer, I lost mine in a boating accident, they are at the bottom of the lake somewhere. B-D

Just think, had Todd Akin not stuck his foot in his mouth (I saw what he said in a different light, but most people did not, but still), that cow would not have been re-elected.
