Border jumpers have been doing this for years.. 
...until the next day when someone told her she had a bird trapped in the grill of the sport utility vehicle.
Did the SUV strike the owl with his left or right hand?
(or did the driver hit the bird with his vehicle?)
A barn owl slammed into the passenger window of my truck one evening as I was driving down a mountain road. I stopped and backed up to look for it but it was gone.
when I took my truck out for a beer run? Hummmmm...

That owl looks really pizzed off.
I’ve never hit an owl but I had a large turkey run into the path of my wifes minivan while doing 80 on the thurway. On impact I saw a large puff of feathers and the turkey launched about 20 feet in the air. Left a turkey shaped indent (and some guts) on the license plate.

The junction's name "Yeehaw" comes from the Seminole tribe in origin and means "wolf", referring to wolves that inhabited the area. According to town historians and several original newspaper articles that are displayed at the Desert Inn and Restaurant National Historical site, the town was originally named "Jackass Junction". This name was given to the four-corner site back in the early 1930s, when local ranchers rode on burros to visit the Desert Inn (then the local brothel). As the 1950s approached, the Florida legislature felt that a name change was due in light of the construction of Florida's Turnpike through the center of the community in 1957, resulting in renaming the town to its present-day name.
